Worldwide Weighing Agents Meeting 2006
November 13th, 14th and 15th

Reported by Takashi Hayasaka, International Division

A&D held this year's Worldwide Weighing Agents Meeting in Seoul, Korea on November 13th, 14th and 15th. 34 people from 14 countries gathered for this year's meeting at the Seoul Royal Hotel located in the center of Myeong-dong, Seoul.

The theme of WWAM 2006 was "HON-MONO", which is a Japanese word from our new company belief, representing a "real" or "genuine" thing when literally translated into English. I believe that all of the attendees left this year's meeting with a good understanding of this theme. (Belief: We strive for "Honmono", welcome challenges, and are relentless till we deliver solutions.)

We announced 3 new models at this time; our new FX-i precision balance, new SJ-H (HS) digital scales, and new FS-i waterproof checkweighing scale. In addition to these 3 new models, we introduced our IQ, OQ and PQ documents (please contact your sales agent in Tokyo for more detailed information) and we also offered hands-on training of our WinCT-Plus software for multi-connection use.

During the morning session of the 2nd day, thanks to the cooperation of our agents, we enjoyed very interesting and useful presentations from each agent and had the opportunity to share a wide range of excellent information and feedback from each market. In the afternoon, we visited our ADKS factory, which was a 2-hour bus trip away, to view the manufacturing of A&D electronic balances and scales.

A sincere thanks to our staff at A&D Korea for helping with all the arrangements and for making this one of our most successful WWAM meetings yet. Kamsa Hamnida!!

Thank you to all participants as well and we are looking forward to seeing you again at WWAM 2007 next year.
