A&D Regional Agents Meeting & Arab Lab 2007

Reported by Takashi Hayasaka, International Division

An A&D Regional Agents Meeting for our agents in the Middle East and Africa was held at the Hotel Seaview, Dubai in the UAE on February 10th 2007. This meeting was specifically for those who could not attend our annual Worldwide Weighing Agent Meeting due to their obscure location.

During this meeting, we focused on SV-10 Viscometers, MX-50 Moisture Analyzers, FX-i with LAN connection by WinCT-Plus software, FS-i, SJ and our new HL-i scales, and we also introduced A&D’s waterproof technology improvements and IQ/OQ/PQ documents.

After the meeting, we went to the Dubai Creek and enjoyed a dinner party together with our agents overlooking a beautiful night view of the creek on a traditional Arabian boat.

Arab Lab 2007 is the largest scientific and technical show in the Middle East and was held this year from February 11th to 14th at the Dubai International Exhibition Center.
As you already know, the economy in Dubai is booming and the size of the show reflected that with even larger numbers in attendance than last year. Over 400 companies from more than 70 countries participated and visitors came from not only the UAE and its neighboring countries, but also from many African countries.
Mr. Ibrahim, President of A&D Gulf FZE, acquired the booth and exhibited our full weighing products line, from analytical balances to platform scales. Demonstrations of our SV-10 Viscometer, MX-50 Moisture Analyzers and FX-i and GH with LAN or USB connection by WinCT-Plus software were extremely successful in attracting visitors to our booth.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Ibrahim, Ismail, Sameer, Rizwan, Zohaib, and the entire A&D Gulf FZE staff for making all arrangements for both the agents meeting and Arab Lab 2007.
