MEDICA 2007

The manufacturers of medical products and medical technologies are the driving force behind the future growth of the health industry. Their innovative products and systems make an increasingly important contribution to improving the efficiency and quality of patient care. A&D attended the world's largest medical fair "MEDICA 2007," and we were able to witness and feel their contribution first hand. Despite a nationwide rail strike, 4300 exhibitors and 137,000 trade visitors from 100 countries attended the fair.

As we are celebrating A&D's 30th anniversary this year, A&D showcased more new and exciting products at MEDICA this year than in previous years. Some new models we plan to launch next spring are the UA-854, UA-855, UB-351, UT-201, Dr. Pro 3, and the TM-2655P with IHB function. We also displayed some reference models such as the UA-789XL, UA-782 and the chair scale HVL-CS from ADM. We received many inquiries and responses concerning these products.

To further commemorate A&D's 30th anniversary, we made a special corner exhibiting our old models and showing the history of our innovations. We wanted to demonstrate that A&D is not a copy manufacturer, but a technology driven, market oriented, global manufacturer.

A&D has established a position for itself as a global market leader providing telemedicine sensors to serve the healthcare industry. Our well-known telemedicine products, the UA-767PBT and UC-321PBT, are both equipped with Bluetooth Class 1, and were on demonstration at two locations this year. A&D participated in the Bluetooth SIG Pavilion, where all participants are required to have Bluetooth SIG membership. Also A&D is now a core member of the Continua Health Alliance, further enhancing A&D's capacity to provide personal healthcare to the world.

I would like to say a special thanks to our subsidiaries, ADM, ADE, ADI, and ADR, for their tremendous support and assistance during MEDICA. I sincerely enjoyed working with all of you. It was also a pleasure to be able to meet many of our customers in person at our booth.
