This year’s Finetech Japan exhibition was held at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo’s International Exhibition Center, from the 19th to the 21st of April 2006.
The International FPD Expo was also held at the same venue in collaboration with Finetech, resulting in the world’s largest FPD exhibition. Altogether, 631 companies were in attendance and over 53,000 people visited this exhibition over its three-day duration.

The main products and technology exhibited at Finetech Japan are LCDs, PDPs, Organics Els etc. and A&D`s main focus was on our viscometers, the SV-10 and SV-100 along with our moisture analyzers, the MS, MX, MF and ML series.
About 40% of visitors to our booth were interested in viscometers and moisture analyzers. Viscometers users enquired about the possibility of measuring the viscosity of ink and bond and those interested in moisture analyzers asked if our units could measure the moisture content of paper and plastic pellet. We were very happy to be able to confidently answer “Yes” to all of the above.

We also exhibited testing machines (DCA-100W, RPT-3000W), balances (GH, GX, GF), scales (SK, HL, FG), our static eliminator (AD-1683) and many more.
A demonstration of our precision balance, the AD-4212A series, caught the attention of many visitors passing by our booth. They were very impressed with the separate weighing sensor unit and display unit and many were very enthusiastic about installing it in their system. We have since received several requests for the 10 micro milligram resolution AD-4212A series.

Over 10 Korean companies attended Finetech Japan this year and many Korean visitors came to the exhibition. We had anticipated the attendance of a number of Korean customers so we invited Dr. S. R. Yoon and Mr. D. Y. Kim from A&D Korea to attend with us on the first and last day of the exhibition. Dr. Yoon holds a PhD in the field of chemical engineering and he has a lot of experience with viscometers and moisture analyzers. He gave detailed and helpful explanations to Korean customers and was rewarded with promising opportunities for further business back in Korea.

Finetech Japan is a huge exhibition and A&D was delighted to be in attendance to take full advantage of the many business possibilities there.
