DSP  AD5430-71(AUD interface board)

Features

In the AD5430 system, a simple debugger for the SH2 program can be constructed using an AD5430-71 AUD I/F board and three S-Functions: (1) the AUD break control block, (2) the AUD data read block, and (3) the AUD data write block. This board also can function as a RAM monitor without using the AUD break control block. The SH2 program and the AD5430-71 AUD I/F board are connected to the AUD blocks to provide S-Function processing capability using the AUD SH2 functions through the AD5430-71 AUD I/F board. In the AUD branch trace mode, the AUD break control block can check for specific address passage in the SH2 program. In addition, this block can control the AUD mode branch trace mode, and the RAM monitor mode. In the AUD RAM monitor mode, the AUD data read block and AUD data write block can read/write RAM data at specific SH2 program addresses. Combinations of these three blocks can change SH2 program RAM data when SH2 program processing passes through a specific address.

If, for example, some functions are used to examine a process while the SH2 program is being developed, feedback of results of the process by functions implemented with an SH2 program model can obtain the results of processes performed by functions to be examined without modifying the SH2 program in everyach case. To perform debugging inby this method, however, the debugging process assumed with the AD5430 system needs to be incorporated in advance in the SH2 program to be debugged.
