On September 24, 2004, I was invited to an event in Milan, Italy. It was the inauguration day of the new office/warehouse facility for our long established business partner; INTERMED S.r.l. Mr. Claudio Falavigna, Mr. Mauro Comotti and Mrs. Carmela Galati together with their colleagues have been handling A&D Medical products since 1980th.
When they founded their own company in 1996 we decided to continue working with them, since we knew their hard work and sincere approach to both customers and suppliers. Since then, we have seen a steady growth in size as well as product range, and now we congratulate them on their successful move to a new larger facility.

This office/warehouse facility occupies over 2,000-m2 and is located near Milan's Linate airport. In the evening on the inauguration day, all INTERMED associates, former colleagues, local business partners as well as many suppliers from Europe and Japan got together at the new building. After the opening speech by Mr.Falavigna, many warm guest speeches followed and a tour of the building was made. Every speech was witty and paid tribute to what INTERMED had achieved as a team in last the 8 years. Ms.Teruzzi kindly translated them in English for me when such speeches were made in Italian and German. During the opening speech by Mr.Falavigna, it was announced (a big welcome surprise to us all), that a new conference room was named Naruhito Miyazaki, who had been a personal friend to Mr.Falavigna and Mr.Comotti and a business contact at A&D, and who sadly passed away in 2001. A memorial plate is placed in front of the room (shown in the photo).

After having enjoyed the nice new office environment, we all moved to the restaurant and spent a wonderful evening with great food and wine. The following day, a tour of the city of Milan was arranged. The city museum, Cathedral and many other attractive spots in Milan were introduced before we moved to Monza where the king's summer house was built, right next to the famous Monza circuit. I enjoyed every moment of this two day event and would like to warmly thank all INTERMED associates for the wonderful time I had. I wish further success to INTERMED, and I am looking forward to my next trip back to Milan to see all the friends I made during the event.
